• Mudajaya has secured a contract for the construction of a 400-room hotel in LCCT KLIA from Tune Hotel for RM65m. The project is expected to be completed on 22 November 2013 (~1 year duration).

Comments

• Small but positive The contract sum of RM65m is relatively immaterial, only representing ~5% of FY11’s construction revenue and ~2% of its current outstanding order book of ~RM2.9bn. Although the project is small, the nature of the project which has to be completed within a year, is prove of Mudajaya’s engineering ability to deliver the project both on time and within budget.
• Tune hat trick This hotel project also marks the third contract that Mudajaya has secured from Tune Hotel. The first was in LCCT which was awarded in May-08 for RM15m while the second was in Danga Bay which was awarded in Jun-09 for RM19.9m. Both hotels were for ~200 rooms.
• 1.2 sen/share Assuming a net profit margin of 10%, this hotel project would translate to ~1.2 sen/share for Mudajaya.
• Earnings visibility With the latest order, outstanding order book has inched up slightly to ~RM3.0bn (see Figure #1), translating to ~2.5x FY11’s construction revenue and ~2.0x order book-to-market cap ratio.

• Delay in completing the India IPP project;
• Regulatory and political risk (both local and abroad);
• Rising raw material prices;
• Unexpected downturn in the construction sector; and

Mudajaya - To Build Hotel Near KLIA

THE BUZZ

Mudajaya announced that it has accepted a Letter of Award from TP Sepang SB, a company under Tune Group, to construct a Tune Hotel near KLIA in Sepang, Selangor for a total sum of RM65m. The project is expected to be completed by November 2013.

OUR TAKE

Slightly positive. The contract involves the construction of a 400-room hotel with a pedestrian walkway as well as other related facilities. We believe that the hotel is intended to cater to the upcoming low-cost carrier terminal, KLIA2. While Mudajaya's management had previously highlighted the possibility of bagging this job, the announcement was a small but positive surprise as we did not expect any new job wins for the remainder of the year.

RM1.9bn worth of new jobs secured YTD. With this contract now in the bag, Mudajaya would have secured more than RM1.9bn worth of new jobs YTD. Taking this new contribution into account bumps up our FY13 net profit forecast by 3.0% to RM323.7m while our FY12 and FY14 numbers are unchanged.

NEUTRAL. All in, while we are positive on the surprise contract win, we maintain NEUTRAL on Mudajaya for now, with our SOP-based FV unchanged at RM2.88, pegged to our FY12 forecast. We have yet to roll forward our valuation to FY13 pending the outcome of ongoing negotiations between India's Ministry of Coal and Ministry of Power, which we believe could pave the way for the long-awaited signing of the fuel supply agreements between Mudajaya's 26%-owned associate RKM Powergen and Coal India Ltd.

iPad mini正式亮相

腾讯数码讯（千平） 北京时间10月24日凌晨1点，苹果公司在圣何塞的加州剧院召开发布会，推出了五款重磅级产品：13英寸苹果MacBook Pro Retina、新款Mac Mini、全新iMac一体电脑、第四代iPad以及传言已久的iPad mini。

苹果首款7.9英寸平板电脑iPad mini

这 是苹果首次涉足小尺寸平板电脑领域，而就在几年前，乔布斯曾非常不看好小尺寸平板电脑，并认为10英寸的屏幕是平板电脑的底线。虽然目前市场对小尺寸平板 产品的需求是显而易见的，但iPad mini的发布，却打破了“苹果之父”之前的产品理念。究竟是市场需求正确，还是乔布斯的理念更有指导性，这二者之间倒也是一番博弈。

苹 果iPad mini以小巧便携为最大卖点，弥补了苹果公司在产品线上的相对空白。iPad mini整机非常轻薄，重量为308克，而7.2毫米的机身也成为了苹果平板电脑的最薄厚度。在最受关注的屏幕方面，苹果iPad mini的表现不太给力，其分辨率仅为768×1024像素，和第一代、第二代iPad为同一水平。由于尺寸缩小的原因，在精细程度上，iPad mini要略高，但比起iPad 3，差距非常明显。

接口方面，iPad mini毫无悬念的使用了最新的Lightning接口，因此在配件、外设方面和iPhone 5通用。处理器方面，iPad mini采用的是Apple A5双核处理器，而不是最新的A6，这款处理器在iPhone 4S上使用过，采用45nm制程生产工艺，主频锁定为1GHZ。电池续航上，苹果称新款iPad mini可以保持10小时的使用时间，和iPad 3大致持平。此外，iPad mini的前置摄像头可以达到720P规格，采用了120万像素级别的前置摄像头。而该机背后的主摄像头为500万像素，配置和前代产品相同。

苹 果公布了全新iPad mini拥有16GB、32GB、64GB三个版本，售价分别为329美元、429美元、529美元。此外，发布会上苹果还宣布，Wifi版的全新苹果 iPad mini将在11月2日开卖，并且将在全世界34个国家和地区销售，其中包括我国的香港地区。

完美升级的第四代iPad

这款最新款的9.7英寸iPad实际上是其第三代产品的优化版本。处理器方面，最新的iPad 4将采用苹果A6X处理器，保持了和iPhone 5的性能同步。可以应用于FaceTime功能的前置摄像头也升级至720p规格。

iPad 4支持Sprint的4G LTE网络，并且使用了与iPhone 5一样将采用Lightning接口。iPad 4将同时发布黑色和白色两个版本。其中WiFi版售价为499美元起，而LTE版本则是629美元起。在尺寸方面iPad 4与之前的iPad将保持一致。

第四代iPad虽然在性能上提升的非常明显，但其电池续航能力并未下降，据苹果官方称该机仍然能够保证10小时的连续使用时间。

13英寸苹果MacBook Pro Retina

在苹果iPad mini正式亮相之前，苹果宣布推出了全新的13英寸苹果MacBook Pro Retina笔记本产品。从外观来看，全新的13英寸苹果MacBook Pro Retina与之前的13英寸机型基本一致。

在规格上，全新的13英寸苹果MacBook Pro Retina笔记本的屏幕如传言中一样，采用了视网膜屏幕，13英寸的分辨率为2560*1600，并且拥有i5和i7两个版本，配备了8GB内存，最高配置内置了768GB SSD硬盘。

此外苹果宣布，低配版和高配版价格分别为1199美元和1499美元，将于今天正式开售。

超强配置的新款Mac Mini

新款Mac mini低配置采用2.5 GHz 双核处理器，高配置和服务器版本都采用了2.3GHz四核处理器。而旧款Mac mini Server版则只采用2.3GHz i7四核处理器，高配置则采用了2.5 GHz双核处理器。

此外，新款2.5GHz双核机型硬盘容量从500GB起，跟旧款 Mac mini相同。2.3 GHz双核高配置机型硬盘容量从1TB起，服务器版本则配备两个1TB硬盘。三款机型似乎都配备了两个2GB的RAM，但可以升级至16GB。

据悉，新款Mac mini配备2.5 GHz双核处理器，4GB RAM，500GB硬盘，售价为599美元；而2.3 GHz四核处理器、4GB RAM，1TB硬盘机型则售价为999美元。

全新iMac一体电脑

在发布会上，苹果发布了全新的iMac一体电脑。从外观来看，全新的苹果iMac与之前版本并未有太大变化，但是厚度却仅为5mm，比上一代薄了80%，拥有21.5和27英寸两个版本。

在硬件配置方面，27英寸屏幕机型屏幕分辨率为2560*1440，21.5英寸机型屏幕分辨率为1920*1080，拥有i5和i7两个版本，并且搭载有128 SDD，可选1TB、3TB硬盘驱动器。此外，iMac还配备有一个无线键盘​​和鼠标。当然，你还可以得到一个Magic Trackpad。

在发布会上，苹果还公布了全新iMac的价格信息。据悉，21.5英寸起步价为1299美元，将于11月份开卖；27英寸起步价格为1799美元，12月份正式开卖。

额外维修

星期六早上驾车去 Perodua Service Centre 去做例常的维修。

因为最近汽车在行驶中，在车内会听到奇怪的吵杂声，所以趁这次的维修请维修人员帮忙检查。

车开去维修没多久，维修人员就前来告知，排气管的某连接处断了。因此当汽车在行驶中时，有时会听见 kok kok 的声音。

其实问题已经出现有几个月了，但是因为没有细心观察，所以到了今天才找到问题的所在。

还好这问题不影响汽车的安全和性能，所以改天还需另外找车厂将断掉的排气管接回。

我的viva 到今天已经用了四年多，开始慢慢有问题了。所以说当买新车时不只需要考虑价格，也需要将维修费用纳入考量。千万不要因为面子买了自己勉强可以负担的贵车，而当面对突而其来的维修费时，还需东省西省来筹这笔费用。

当初买车最初的目的不是要让自己活的更自在，不是吗？

AES

最近闹得热腾腾的自动化执法系统确实会让人连出门都担心随时会有牛肉干跟着你回家。

为了荷包着想，还是赶紧上网查看古晋有哪个地方是安装了自动化执法系统。

原来砂拉越共有18个地方安装了AES测速系统。古晋这里共有4个。

AES 交通灯在砂拉越共有10个，其中的八个AES 在古晋。

总而言之，大家要小心驾驶，要不然每个月又要多付一笔无谓的开销了。

This photograph was taken at the archeological site of Ahu Akivi on Easter Island (Chile). The Moai (the Maori name for the famous sculptures) statues seem to be contemplating the rising of the Large Magellanic Cloud. These human figures were carved from volcanic tuff and were erected more than 500 years ago -- between about 1250 and 1500. The tallest statue on the island is 32 ft tall (9.8 m). The Large Magellanic Cloud, easily visible with the unaided eye, is a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way, some 160,000 light years distant.

We first visited Easter Island to view the total solar eclipse of 2010. We returned this past summer to photograph the southern sky. Being alone at night, at one of the darkest locations on the planet, near the stone giants is an amazing experience. The wild horses that roam the island were often our only companions. 清除杂草

搬到新家有一个月多了，也开始慢慢适应新环境了。

跟以前租房间的日子的最大分别就是，现在的周末几乎都是在收拾只有两个人居住的房子。

不过，搬了这么久，一直都还没去清理后院的杂草。也因为任由杂草丛生，现在杂草已经长到膝盖的高度了。如果再这么放任下去，只怕将来会惹来蛇虫鼠蚁。

于是趁上周六的大阴天，我就自己动手用大剪刀进行清除。不过以为不大的后院，当你动手起来也是非常累人的。

结果花了逾一小时，我才清除了一半的杂草。加上天空开始下着绵绵细雨，于是我唯有暂时作罢。

好，趁着今天是星期六，待会儿就动手清除剩下的一半杂草。

清理完之后，接下来打算种些花草、蔬菜，不单可以劳动，也可以吃到自己亲手种的蔬菜，一举两得！

成就感

当年复一日做着相同的工作时，大多数人会开始对工作麻木、提不起劲，我也一样。

我的工作每天都需要面对无数的病人，给予他们关于疾病和药物的专业咨询。

由于这是工作，所以也不会期待病人在得到专业咨询后会有感谢你的举动。

不过偶尔在工作的地方也会有陌生病人异常热情的跟我打招呼。其实，真对不起，我真的是记不起你是哪位了，因为病人真的是太多了（其实是记性不好）。

通常那些会跟我打招呼的病人都是之前见过我、咨询过我的病人。会对我热情通常是因为听了我的劝告后发现原来要控制糖尿病并不是一个非常困难的事情。他们通常会感谢我之前提供给他们资讯。

也因为这些人，让我发觉原来我的提供的服务是有价值的，这无形中也提高这份工作给予我的成就。

有了这份成就感，就有如添入汽油后的汽车重新有了活力、重现找回当初对这份工作的热忱。

Mudajaya Group (BUY) - Potentially Powering Prai

News

• Tenaga has been awarded the new 1,071MW combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) Prai Power Plant with capex of RM3bn. The plant is targeted to commission by March 2016.

Comments

• Prai potential Recall in our previous Mudajaya report, Powering the Future, dated 5-Mar-12. We believe that Mudajaya stands a strong chance in securing civil-related works portion for the Prai power plant worth some RM300-450m (estimated 10-15% of power plant costs). We understand that ground works will have to begin by 1QCY13 in order to complete the power plant in time.
• Strong track record With its strong track record and currently undertaking civil works for both the Janamanjung and Tanjung Bin power plant extension project, we believe that Mudajaya has a niche over its competitors in securing this power-related works. Thus, this news will be positive for the company and the potential new contract would act as a share price catalyst.
• More power works With the Prai power plant awarded, we estimate that there is still 3,500MW gas-fired and 1,000MW coal-fired power capacity to be awarded by Suruhanjaya Tenaga by 2016. Coupled with RAPID’s 1,300MW gas-fired power plant, these developments will allow Mudajaya to continue on replenishing its order book going forward.
• Overall, Mudajaya has an outstanding order book of ~RM2.9bn, translating to ~2.5x FY11’s construction revenue and ~1.9x order book-to-market cap ratio.

Mudajaya: To bid for Pengerang power plant pre-Q

Mudajaya Group Bhd will submit its bid for the pre-qualification (pre-Q) called by Petronas on the engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) job for the latter's power plant at its Rapid project in Pengerang, Johor. Group MD and CEO Anto Joseph said that it would tie up with another "one or two" foreign partners for the contract. "The submission for the pre-Q will close by Oct 24 or 25. I'm not sure how many are in the race, but I am expecting around 4 to 5 parties," he said. (Financial Daily)

个人投资报告 3Q12

哇。。。时间流逝的真快，不知不觉2012 年已经踏入第4季，也是时候要来回顾第三季的投资报告了。

KLCI 至今已从今年年头的 1530.73 上涨到了 28/9/12 的 1636.66，一共涨了 105.93点或者 6%。这段时期内指数最低下探至1502.09，最高则上升至 1655.49，也创造了大马股市的历史新高。

虽然大马股市在今年内有非常不错的表现，不过我的股票投资组合和第2季的投资回酬一样是跑输 KLCI。



在第3季，我的股票投资组合总共亏损了 5.32% （已将收到的股息计算在内），而如果只是单单计算资本回酬的话，亏损则达 7.14%

在股息方面，到目前为止股息回酬率为 1.14%。

目前 KIMLUN 在我的组合里百分比已经超越了 MUDAJYA，成为组合里的老大，共占了近50%。

而截至30/9/12，我手中依然持有的公司为 KIMLUN, MUDAJYA 和 UCHITEC。 RA 则在它公布了新一季的业绩后就卖出了，卖出日期为 3/9/12。

由于大选时间还不知道会落在何时，所以接下来我应该会选择继续观望，不会做出加码动作。这也是为了让手中的闲钱继续增加，以便当大熊来袭时，我拥有足够的资金来购入心目中的好公司。
